Decorations everywhere, extended shopping hours, chaotic malls and traffic and just the general vacation-urge, the festive season is most definitely on our doorstep!
Holiday season usually means you need a few activities to keep the kids busy and recipes on hand to quickly whip up something delicious for your guests and I’m happy to report that this recipe ticks both boxes 🙂
This is a brownie recipe with an even sweeter twist. My kids thoroughly enjoyed being the happy-helpers in making this quick and easy treat and oh boy did they love digging into it too!
Marshmallow Brownies
Ingredients:
- 240g butter
- 150g chocolate (I used the big slab of Cadbury’s, you could use dark choc too)
- 60g cocoa powder
- 150g flour
- 500g caster sugar
- 5 eggs, slightly beaten
- 150g marshmallows (mini marshmallows would be great, I used the twisted marshmallows)
Method:
- Pre-heat the oven to 190C. Line a square tin with baking paper
- Melt the butter and chocolate together on low heat and once melted remove from heat.
- Sift the cocoa with the flour and sugar. Add this dry ingredients to the chocolate-butter mixture.
- Fold in the eggs and thereafter the marshmallows.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared tin and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool then slice and enjoy!

Absolutely love my new saucepan from Woolworths!

Ready to hop on into the oven…

I couldn’t even wait to let it cool before digging in!
